Youngsters Rock Out At City Music Showcase
Talented young musicians proved they were more than ready to rock as they performed on stage for students from across the city.
Year 9 Music students have been taking part in Rock School with staff from the Newhampton Arts Centre for the last four weeks. Sessions have seen musicians come into school to help students improve their ensemble skills and improve their confidence.
The Rock School ended with a musical showcase at the Newhampton Road West venue – where pupils from across the city came together to perform their music for each other.
Mrs Russell said all bands performed really well. “It was a great experience for all pupils – they are eager to do it all again soon,” she added.
