Young Cricketers Are Bowled Over By Success
Young sportswomen proved hard work pays off after stepping up to the crease for their first cricket tournament.
The girls – who are all in Year 7 and 8 – have been sharpening their skills during weekly training sessions after school for the last few months.
And their efforts paid off earlier this week when they secured third place overall at the competition.
Miss Rigsby, who took the girls to the tournament, said: “They’ve worked very hard and have not been playing together as a team for very long. I was delighted by how well they did and I’m sure they’ll go on to even more victories.”
