Year 7 Shout Outs

Their first year of secondary school is not what our year 7s imagined, but I am overwhelmed with the amount of determination and resilience they have shown to make this unprecedented time as good as it can be.

Mr Mincher said – “Our ethos in year 7 is to show leadership, help each other, be successful and be happy. I am so pleased to see so many stories of our year 7’s showing this. It is a testament of the character of all our year 7 students. A huge well done. Can I also take the time to thank all the Parents/Carers and Key Workers for your support through this time. Our school community really is a special one.”

  • Liam Biddle – For 100% engagement in every single English lesson this half-term and for sharing his insightful poetry analysis skills.
  • Suraj Sandu – For endless enthusiasm in English this half-term and for always being cheerful and polite!
  • Anya Detheridge – For wonderful, detailed and thoughtful answers in English.
  • Lawen Hussain – For always trying really hard and for improving consistently in English.

  • Holly-May Smith – For always contributing answers and for showing infectious enthusiasm for poetry.
  • Chione Ross – Producing some excellent PSHE work on Mental Health.
  • Aleksandra Boridina, Adam Rehman and Kayleigh Enefer for always making an incredible effort in maths during Remote Learning.
  • I’d like to add Harley Brookes for taking the lead on reading out loud Harry Potter which is our form book. He is always so engaged during form and always happy to log in and speak to everyone.

  • Parisa Abbasi – for representing our form (7PB) with her beautiful ks3 entry to the baking competition. A lot of time and effort went into the cake and this really showed.
  • Lexi Walker – For smashing Mr O’Keeffe’s weekly challenge. Winning a McDonalds.
