New School Year

THE START OF THE NEW TERM

School starts for our new Year 7 on Friday 3rd September at 9:00 am. They will need to enter from Cumberland Rd and wait in the canteen area. We ask that consideration is given to our neighbours and to park safely.  The day finishes at 2.55 pm when students are released via Cumberland Rd to make their way home. For the first week, Year 7 will be released at 2.55 each day via Cumberland Rd to help them settle in.

TESTING

All children are asked to ensure that they have taken a Lateral Flow Test before their first day in school. We understand that practice in primary schools has been mixed and that not all children will have done so your support with this is greatly appreciated. Kits can be ordered to be sent home through the NHS or there are centres around Wolverhampton that provide these onsite. We are offering testing kits on site that can be collected from reception on Thursday 2nd September if you require them. If you require support from the school, we do have testing facilities in place so please let Mr Howe know (jhowe@moseleypark.org) if this is needed so that arrangements can be made. We then strongly encourage twice-weekly testing from home, one being the weekend before returning to school.

CATERING

We are a cashless school and as such, all monies for food must be processed through ParentPay. Please make sure you have set up your account to allow students to make purchases. Many students registered for our canteen system during induction but we will register those that were not able to during the morning of Friday 3rd September. We also have a new full menu and light bites options each day. We will be issuing menus to students on their first day. Your child is of course free to bring a packed lunch if they prefer.
