Mia Has A Spring In Her Step After National Success
A talented Year 10 student is waiting to see if she has been selected for Team GB after an impressive performance at the British Gymnastics Championships.
Mia Bevan placed second in Tumbling at the national competition last weekend – an achievement which may well see her being picked to represent Great Britain on the international stage. Tumbling – which is also known as floor gymnastics – involves flips, somersaults, handstands and handsprings.
Despite being injured earlier this year, Mia has refused to be beaten and battled back to top form – training five times a week and putting in between 15 and 20 hours to perfect her sport.
Mrs Britton, who is Head of PE, said: “Moseley Park is incredibly proud of Mia and her dedication to gymnastics. Even with her gruelling schedule, she continues to do well in school and always has a smile on her face.”
