Isabella Gets A Kick Out Of Karate Success
A talented Year 8 youngster is celebrating winning a clutch of gold medals in her latest karate competition.
Isabella Wilkes competed in the JKS Scotland National Karate Championships in Linlithgow as part of the JKS England team.
She won four gold medals during the contest last weekend.
Her gold medals were in individual kata 12-15 years, koten kata and junro kata, as well as team kata with Thomas Elmore and Joshua Meade – all in the 15 years and under category,
She also secured the bronze medal in female kumite 12-13 years.
Miss Jones, assistant headteacher, said: “We are extremely proud of Isabella. She works really hard and deserves all her continued success.”
