Excellence Academy – University of Birmingham visit
As part of the Excellence Academy program, Years 7 and 8 have recently visited the University of Birmingham.
The University offered students an array of diverse and interactive outreach activities. These ranged from workshops and taster lectures to masterclasses and demonstrations. They communicated with lecturers and students who imparted knowledge about University life, helping to inspire our young students to fulfil their potential.
Students also received a tour of the campus, enabling them to see the exceptional facilities, ample study space and beautiful grounds.
There was also a chance to network with student ambassadors from the university and take part in a question-and-answer session, where they learnt about the different pathways the students had undertaken prior to studying at the University.
