Brilliant Basketballers Net Second Championship Crown
Young basketballers are celebrating after proving their skills are second to none and securing another Midlands’ crown.
Moseley Park’s Year 9 and 10 boys’ basketball team won their latest title at the University of Worcester.
They had been invited to play in the tournament after storming to victory in the Wolverhampton City Championships earlier this year.
And the lads did not disappoint, making it through to the final and winning against tough competition, to ensure they they are now Worcester City Champions too. The team was made up of: Louis Gooden, Emmanuel Kamgo, De’andre Lewis, Taylor Willets, Seamus Barry, Ashton Lee Brown, Michael Bissell, Harvey Jones, George Hill, Jayden Shirley Birrell and Joshua Sangrey in Year 10 and Aryan Virdi from Year 9.
Mr Bolton, who took the team to the tournament, said: “The lads showed outstanding resilience to the end and put on an excellent performance. I couldn’t be prouder of them.”
