Basketball Trip Is A Slam Dunk Success

Basketball-mad students from across Moseley Park got to see their idols in action in a trip to the national finals.

Pupils from Year 7 up to Year 13 travelled to watch the 2018 Basketball Cup Finals at the Arena Birmingham on Sunday.

They saw the mighty Nottingham Wildcats beat Caledonia Pride in the Women’s BBL Cup final and then had the chance to see both international slam dunk champions and the famous dance group Flawless before the final match of the day. They watched and cheered as Cheshire Phoenix beat Worcester Wolves to be crowned BBL Cup Champions of 2018.

Mr Bolton, who organised the trip, said: “The pupils were a credit to the school and seemed to love every second of the day as they cheered and clapped the basketball superstars. I’d like to say a massive thank you to Mrs Russell and Mr Burns for giving up their Sunday so the pupils could enjoy such a great day.”
