All Smiles As Sixth Form Students Enjoy Virtual Tour

University open days may have been paused by the pandemic, but sixth formers still got to experience student life as they donned virtual reality headsets for a special campus tour.

The interactive experience took place as part of a session organised by the Aspire to HE programme, which aims to help youngsters make informed and ambitious decisions about their future.

Representatives from Aspire to HE came into Moseley Park to talk to students about how to be independent at university and how to manage their workload in a brand new learning environment.

The session culminated with a virtual tour of the University of Wolverhampton’s City Campus where students had their own headset and controller to enable them to wander in and out of the various buildings on the site – all from the comfort of their classroom.

Miss Harris, who organises Aspire to HE events in school, said: “Students had a fantastic time taking the virtual tour of the University of Wolverhampton. It was great to see how excited and interested they were – and many of them are already talking about their plans for when they finish sixth form and move on to higher education.”
