Black History Month Assemblies

Over the past three weeks, Moseley Park have been celebrating Black History Month.

Students from years 9, 10 and 11 have worked with Miss Brown (with the help of Miss Reynolds and Mr Goraya) to create and present three outstanding assemblies to different year groups (year 7 to year 11).

Assembly topics were: -Colourism and racism

-A celebration of members of the black community who have made massive contributions to the subjects we study in school

-‘Did you know?’ – an assembly providing the audience with little known facts about the achievements of people in the black community.

Assemblies were informative for those listening, and some lucky KS3 students were even rewarded with treats for showing how much they had learned! All students were professional and worked extremely hard on their presentations, receiving a huge amount of well deserved praise from both students and teachers.
