Year 7 youngsters have been presenting assemblies to students from all year groups to mark Black History Month.
The pupils, who are all part of the Excellence Academy, spoke about crucial events in black history as part of the month of celebration – which runs throughout October.
Marcus Vanes, Mesheka McLean, Emilija Konciute and Daneka Anderson teamed up with Assistant Headteacher Mr Samuels to deliver the sessions to students.
Deneka said: “Black history is everyone’s history and I believe it should be cherished and respected as such.”
Black History Month plays an important part in bringing people of all backgrounds together to explore and educate themselves about Black history and culture.
Moseley Park is celebrating Black History Month with a number of different activities during the next few weeks. Students will also be diving into examining important figures and movements linked to Black history during PSHE and Integrated Studies lessons.
