Gruesome tales of bubonic plague, unpleasant cures and stomach-churning remedies greeted GCSE History students on their trip to London.
The History department took a group of Year 11 students to explore the London Dungeons as part of their Medicine Through Time unit – which will be part of their exam this summer.
Pupils were able to take a step back in time to the 17th century to witness the horrors of the city during the Great Plague, which decimated the population from 1665 to 1666.
Members of the group really enjoyed their visit and said the trip was an enjoyable experience of history.
Miss Dosanjh, who organised the trip, said: “The students behaved very well and learned an awful lot of information which will be very useful for their GCSE studies. We had a brilliant day out and I was very proud of them.”
