In Memory of Kian Buckler

It is with great sadness that we have to inform you that one of our Year 11 students, Kian, tragically passed away. He was involved in a road traffic collision in Bilston on Wednesday evening.

We know how distressing this news will be to everyone who knew Kian and so the Local Authority have provided their support placing trained staff and psychologists in school to be available for students, teachers, parents and anyone else affected by this incident. In addition, please see the link below containing guidance which may be useful for parents at this time.

We are deeply saddened by this great loss but are trying, for the students’ sake, to keep the school environment as normal as possible. Our thoughts are with the family at this terribly sad time and the Moseley Park community sends them sincerest sympathy and support.

In support of the family we have created a Memorial Fund.  A number of our students are holding various fundraising activities and staff, students and families would also like to make a contribution. Donations can be made through our Memorial Fund, accessed via Parent Pay, which is open until Monday 18 December when the fund will be passed to the family.

West Midlands Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision, which occurred at the junction of Lunt Road and Boswell Road, Bilston, just before 7pm on Wednesday night. Anyone with information should call the collision investigation unit on 101 or email fl_collision_invest@west-midlands.pnn.police.uk.
