Students, staff and parents enjoyed a warming cuppa and some delicious cake to raise money for cancer care.
Scores of fabulous cakes were provided for the occasion by teachers and students, who were keen to show off their baking skills – or dig deep into their pockets during a trip to the supermarket.
The event was part of the Macmillan World’s Biggest Coffee Morning initiative, with all proceeds going to the charity, which helps people facing cancer.
The World’s Biggest Coffee Morning is Macmillan’s largest fundraising event, with groups participating across the UK. Money raised from the events go towards providing medical, emotional, practical and financial support for those in need. Last year Macmillan raised a whopping £29.5 million and this year they are aiming to raise even more.
Miss Jones, who organised the event, said: “It was truly brilliant to see students and staff working together for such a great cause. I couldn’t believe how many cakes we had to sell and it was amazing how many pupils, staff and parents came along to support the event.”
