Curious students can create their own Halloween horrors through the power of chemistry as Science Club takes on a seasonal theme.
The weekly after-school club is open to all students in Year 7 and 8 and takes place in M3 from 3pm to 4pm on Thursday.
During the next few weeks young scientists will have the chance to take part in spooky experiments including creating a foaming pumpkin, fake blood, superslime with sparkles and mixing their own glow-in-the-dark water.
The fun will continue for the rest of the year with pupils having the chance to make their own sundial and thermometers and take part in a telescope workshop as well as concocting smoke bombs and whoosh rockets.
Mr Muchenje, who helps to run the club, said: “We have all sorts of crazy experiments planned for this year. It’s a brilliant way to learn more about Science and to have fun at the same time.”
Any KS3 student who would like to join Science Club should see Mrs Richards to get a consent letter.
