Young badminton players are celebrating after beating tough competition in their first tournament.
The Year 7 boys took on opposition from Wolverhampton Grammar School in both single and double matches and won the tournament with some fantastic performances.
Lawson Pardoe – won two single games and one doubles match
Kolade Adeyeni – won two single games and two doubles matches
Ashley Nicholls – won one single game and two doubles matches
Zak Beddow – won one single game and two doubles matches.
Mark Adetogun – won one single game and one doubles match.
Mr Chilton, who took the students to the tournament, said: “The lads were an absolute credit to Moseley Park. Around 20 students attend our extra-curricular badminton club in Year 7 – so even being selected for the squad was an achievement in itself. All students were able to showcase the skills they have learned.
“They have showed great attitude and commitment – and I’d like to say a massive well done to them all. Now, on to the next tournament to retain the title!”
